Later, she was produced before a court in Colombo where she was released on bail.<\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General last month advised the police to take legal action against Maheswaran over her statement in which she called for the reorganization of LTTE in order to curb the rising crime in the North.<\/p>\n<p>The parliamentarian from Jaffna resigned from her post of State Minister of Child Affairs on 5th July due to the criticism generated by her statement.
