{"id":44004,"date":"2018-10-09T12:01:39","date_gmt":"2018-10-09T12:01:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=44004"},"modified":"2018-10-09T12:01:39","modified_gmt":"2018-10-09T12:01:39","slug":"india-to-buy-iranian-oil-despite-us-sanctions-says-oil-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/india-to-buy-iranian-oil-despite-us-sanctions-says-oil-minister\/","title":{"rendered":"India to buy Iranian oil despite US sanctions, says Oil Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi<br \/>\nOil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said two state refiners have placed orders for importing crude oil from Iran in November, the month when US sanctions on Iranian oil purchases take effect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo of our oil companies have made nominations to purchase Iranian oil in November,\u201d he said speaking at The Energy Forum here. \u201cWe do not know if we will get waiver or not.\u201d This is the first time Pradhan has spoken about India\u2019s stand on buying Iranian oil once the US sanctions on Iran come into force from November 4.<\/p>\n<p>He also made it clear that there was no question of going back on deregulation of fuel pricing despite the government asking state-owned firms to subsidise petrol and diesel by Re 1 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>Later, talking to reporters, he said India has its own energy requirements which it has to fulfil. \u201cWe will be guided by our national interest,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nIndianOil Chairman Sanjiv Singh said his company is among the two which have placed order for November.
