\nUS President Donald Trump has alleged that his predecessor Barack Obama had done nothing despite being advised by the FBI on likely Russian meddling in the 2016 Presidential elections.<\/p>\n
He was responding to a question on the Russian meddling in the US elections after a rally in Nevada Saturday, ahead of next month\u2019s midterm polls.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve already said that. I always say this an you\u2019ve heard me say this many times President Obama was contacted by the FBI in September, long before the election in November, and they told him there may be meddling by the Russians, and he did nothing about it, because he thought Hillary Clinton would win,\u201d Trump told reporters.<\/p>\n
He said the present government has taken adequate steps to \u201cprotect\u201d the upcoming elections.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe did nothing \u2026 He didn\u2019t lift a finger he didn\u2019t spend a dime. We\u2019ve done a lot to protect the elections coming up very shortly.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut president Obama, people don\u2019t want to bring it up. The \u2018fake news\u2019 don\u2019t want to bring it up. President Obama was told in September by the FBI that there could be problems with Russian meddling,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n
He also said the Russian meddling in the 2016 Presidential elections did not have to do anything with his campaign then.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt had nothing to do with my campaign. All of the hackers, and \u2026 everybody that you see, nothing to do with my campaign. If they are hackers, a lot of them probably liked Hillary Clinton better than me. Now they do. Now they do,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe good thing is, every single report, Sen. Richard Burr, head of the Senate intelligence, they said, \u2018Did you see any collusion?\u2019 \u2018No collusion. I\u2019ve seen no collusion whatsoever.\u2019 Very strong. Couldn\u2019t be stronger.<\/p>\n
