\nOut to promote \u2018House For All\u2019 scheme, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday announced opening of a new window for group housing in Gurugram. Khattar, who was here to chair a one-day joint summit of NAREDCO and HRERA, made a slew of announcements, much to the applause of realtors, the major being 90-day extension for Transit-Oriented Development policy.<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite the Deen Dayal Jan Awas Yojana being in place, we were not able to give facilities to unauthorised colonies. So we decided to come up with minimum EDC charges to encourage builders. As many as 2,50,000-2,75,000 families do not have houses in Haryana, so we decided to help them through the scheme,\u201d Khattar said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have, for first time, got policies that are beneficial to buyers as well as builders. Till now, housing was the prerogative of rich people but now, home is easily available to all. The pace of infrastructure development in the past five years has been exceptional in Gurugram and we will take it to new heights,\u201d said Praveen Jain, president, NAREDCO.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, declaring state\u2019s housing regulator as most successful, the chief minister said Haryana was the only state that had two HRERA authorities, one of which was exclusively for Gurugram and had the highest complaint resolution rate.<\/p>\n
Talking about the real estate development, Khattar said balanced realty development was one of the best ways to make a state progress.<\/p>\n
