{"id":46587,"date":"2018-11-07T08:13:45","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T08:13:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=46587"},"modified":"2018-11-07T08:13:45","modified_gmt":"2018-11-07T08:13:45","slug":"pnb-fraud-ed-attaches-11-assets-of-nirav-modi-in-dubai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/pnb-fraud-ed-attaches-11-assets-of-nirav-modi-in-dubai\/","title":{"rendered":"PNB fraud ED attaches 11 assets of Nirav Modi in Dubai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi<br \/>\nThe Enforcement Directorate today said it has attached 11 properties worth over Rs 56 crore of fugitive diamond jeweller Nirav Modi in Dubai in connection with its money-laundering probe in the $2-billion PNB fraud case.<br \/>\nThe central probe agency said the assets were in the name of \u201cModi and his group company M\/s Firestar Diamond FZE and they bear a market value of $7.79 million, which is equivalent to Rs 56.8 crore\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The ED has issued a provisional order for attachment of these assets under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).<br \/>\nLast month, the agency had attached assets worth Rs 637 crore of Modi and his family members, including two apartments at New York\u2019s iconic Central Park.<\/p>\n<p>Sources in the agency said the Enforcement Directorate would soon get multiple letters rogatory (judicial requests) issued by a Mumbai court for the legal formalisation of the attachment of these assets in coordination with its counterpart in Dubai.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi The Enforcement Directorate today said it has attached 11 properties worth over Rs 56 crore of fugitive diamond jeweller Nirav Modi in Dubai in connection with its money-laundering probe in the $2-billion PNB fraud case.
