{"id":48920,"date":"2018-12-02T09:16:08","date_gmt":"2018-12-02T09:16:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=48920"},"modified":"2018-12-02T09:16:08","modified_gmt":"2018-12-02T09:16:08","slug":"nepal-pm-kp-oli-criticised-for-supporting-church-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/nepal-pm-kp-oli-criticised-for-supporting-church-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Nepal PM KP Oli criticised for supporting church event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nepal government was criticised for supporting the Asia-Pacific Summit-2018 in Kathmandu on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day summit, on the theme \u201cAddressing Critical Challenges of Our Time\u201d, has been organised by the South Korea-based Universal Peace Federation (UPF), founded by Reverend Sun Myung Moon.<\/p>\n<p>Police arrested five dozen activists, mostly Hindus, for protesting against the government for hosting a church-sponsored event<\/p>\n<p>Former Indian Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, in his address, said the world needs peace for prosperity, but that is not possible as long as countries continue to sponsor terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTerrorism is terrorism. There is no good or bad terrorism,\u201d he said, adding that India had put forward a comprehensive document before the international forum suggesting ways to effectively deal with terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Over 15,00 delegates from 50 countries are attending the event, including Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Aung San Suu Kyi from Myanmar, and former Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani.<\/p>\n<p>Without mentioning India, Gilani criticised it for helping mold the international debate on China\u2019s Belt and Road Initiative. \u201cWith Pakistan being a partner in the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, people have started reaping dividends, defying anti-propaganda from some countries,\u201d said Gilani.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nepal government was criticised for supporting the Asia-Pacific Summit-2018 in Kathmandu on Saturday.
