\nAmid reports of in-house \u201cwarnings\u201d about the prevailing negative perception over the Modi government\u2019s economic moves, BJP\u2019s national executive on September 24-25 is expected to see the party adopt an economic resolution on issues proving to be headache ahead of key elections.<\/p>\n
The meeting comes ahead of the polls in politically crucial Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh and reports of none other than the RSS raising red herring over unrest on issues like \u201ceconomic slowdown, jobless growth, failure of demonetisation, health and farmer distress\u201d.<\/p>\n
In its January national executive, the BJP had passed an economic resolution describing PM Modi\u2019s demonetisation decision as \u201chistoric\u201d and a fatal blow to black money and funding of terrorism. Though BJP spokespersons continue to stick to the line, the party\u2019s ideological fountainhead is said to be having a different opinion.<\/p>\n
After a meeting with its frontal organisations recently, it is said to have cautioned the BJP leadership about people\u2019s raising tough questions on moves such as demonetisation. Adding to the warning that Modi\u2019s popularity can no longer guarantee the BJP its next win, it seems the party is also losing grip on the social media which engineered its rise<\/p>\n
While the PM\u2019s individual popularity remains at an optimum level, it seems the BJP\u2019s pro-active cyber brigade is losing space to rivals.
