{"id":51003,"date":"2018-12-25T11:30:03","date_gmt":"2018-12-25T11:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=51003"},"modified":"2018-12-25T11:30:03","modified_gmt":"2018-12-25T11:30:03","slug":"pak-ex-pm-nawaz-sharif-gets-7-year-jail-in-corruption-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/pak-ex-pm-nawaz-sharif-gets-7-year-jail-in-corruption-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Pak ex-PM Nawaz Sharif gets 7-year jail in corruption case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad<br \/>\nAn anti-corruption court in Pakistan on Monday sentenced ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif to seven years in jail in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills graft case while acquitting him in the Flagship Investments corruption case in the high-profile Panama Papers scandal.<\/p>\n<p>Accountability Court II Judge Muhammad Arshad Malik announced the verdict in the two remaining corruption cases against the Sharif family, after reserving the decision last week.<\/p>\n<p>In its decision, Judge Malik said there was concrete evidence against the 68-year-old former premier in the Al-Azizia reference, and that he was unable to provide a money trail in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Sharif was present in the court when the verdict was announced.
