{"id":53370,"date":"2019-01-24T11:27:49","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T11:27:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=53370"},"modified":"2019-01-24T11:27:49","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T11:27:49","slug":"4-arrested-in-plot-to-target-muslims-in-new-york-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/4-arrested-in-plot-to-target-muslims-in-new-york-state\/","title":{"rendered":"4 arrested in plot to target Muslims in New York state"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Police in New York state on Wednesday identified three young men arrested for allegedly planning a \u201cpotentially lethal\u201d attack on a Muslim community regularly targeted by US extremist sites.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Colaneri, 20, Andrew Crysel, 18, and Vincent Vetromile, 19, were arrested after police in Greece, New York, recovered three explosive devices and 23 weapons from the suspects\u2019 homes, according to spokesman Jared Rene.<\/p>\n<p>The community of some 200 people is managed by the organisation Muslims of America, which thanked authorities for preventing a \u201cpossible massacre of our community\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A fourth unidentified suspect, aged 16, was also detained. The group were accused of planning against a community called Islamberg several hours\u2019 drive from Greece, Rene said.<\/p>\n<p>Rene said police were tipped off by a high school student who overheard other students speaking of a \u201cnext school shooter\u201d. When authorities searched homes they found weapons legally obtained by parents, but uncovered the attack plot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe kids did the right thing. When they saw something, they said something.
