\u201cI was just having some fun,\u201d says Huma. \u201cI\u2019ve been a huge fan of Kate Winslet, and have watched all her films. She is such a solid actor and I look up to her. So it was a fun thing that I wanted to do,\u201d she shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is happy with all the \u201cwonderful, sweet and hilarious things\u201d her fans said, but Huma also had to face her share of trolling. How does she react to the negativity on social media? \u201cMy mother always said, \u2018Your problems and thoughts are yours and other people\u2019s problems and thoughts are theirs. Aapne kisi ke thoughts ko badalne ka theka nahin le rakha\u2019. So, one should know what they want to do with their life. You must be happy in every moment it might touch other people\u2019s hearts and make them smile,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sorted in the head, the 32-year-old insists that she\u2019s \u201cnot a slave to social media\u201d and only posts something when she feels like doing it. \u201cI can\u2019t think about how people are going to perceive it. It\u2019s my way of reaching out to my fans without any filter. It\u2019s my true expression and I can\u2019t cultivate things,\u201d says the Jolly LLB 2, Dedh Ishqiya and Gangs of Wasseypur actor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even as many continue to project superficiality on social media, Huma believes in staying true to herself. \u201cWhether I\u2019m putting up a picture of an egg or doing something funny, I don\u2019t care if I\u2019m wearing makeup or not. I\u2019m very happy with how I look.
