{"id":57118,"date":"2019-03-16T11:21:26","date_gmt":"2019-03-16T11:21:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=57118"},"modified":"2019-03-16T11:21:27","modified_gmt":"2019-03-16T11:21:27","slug":"multi-departmental-committee-on-election-intelligence-meets-in-new-delhi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/multi-departmental-committee-on-election-intelligence-meets-in-new-delhi\/","title":{"rendered":"Multi-departmental committee on election intelligence meets in New Delhi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Election Commission&#8217;s multi-department committee on election intelligence held its 1st meeting at Nirvachal Sadan on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting aimed to map almost every Lok Sabha constituency to check transportation of smuggled goods, drugs and liquor, besides cash and fake currency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Top most on its agenda was &#8220;curbing covert expenditure&#8221; by candidates and political parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting also sensitised law enforcement agencies on the need for sharing intelligence, especially on economic offences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EC has also emphasised the need for each enforcement agency to institute district, state and national-level coordination plans and roadmap for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the agenda, the enforcement agencies requested to work in close coordination to check and freeze flow of goods and illegal money by strong deterrence and watch at seaports, inter-state borders and along the international borders. <\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Election Commission&#8217;s multi-department committee on election intelligence held its 1st meeting at Nirvachal Sadan on Friday.
