After his one-on-one meeting with party ministers at Srinagar on Thursday, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav this morning returned to Delhi without visiting Jammu. The BJP leader had to visit Jammu on Friday for an interaction with party leaders as per the itinerary prepared by the party.<\/p>\n
Highly placed sources said a decision about the reshuffle in the Cabinet from the BJP quota would be taken only after Ram Madhav briefed the party leadership about his interaction with ministers in J&K.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome changes look imminent as Madhav was not happy with the performance of some of the party\u2019s ministers in the coalition government,\u201d a source said, adding that the time of reshuffle would be decided only after the national executive council meeting of the party to be held at Delhi on September 24 and 25.<\/p>\n
During his daylong stay in Srinagar on Thursday, Ram Madhav had held one-on-one meetings with all BJP\u2019s Cabinet ministers to seek a performance report from them. \u201cAll eight Cabinet ministers and one minister of state with independent charge separately met Ram Madhav and briefed him about their respective departments,\u201d a source said, adding that every minister was given 45 to 50 minutes to highlight the \u201cachievements\u201d of their respective ministries.<\/p>\n
The sources said Ram Madhav had himself collected feedback about the ministries under the BJP ministers. \u201cInstead of depending solely on the ministers to highlight their achievements, Ram Madhav had collected vital information about most of the departments from different sources,\u201d a source said.<\/p>\n
Ram Madhav will submit a report to the BJP leadership for taking the final call on changes in the Council of Ministers. As reported earlier, the BJP high command has called a meeting of MPs and legislators from the J&K on September 25 to get their opinion about the performance of ministers.<\/p>\n
Party president Amit Shah and other leaders will hold an interaction with MPs and legislators from J&K to review the performance of the coalition in general and BJP ministers in particular.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
