{"id":5838,"date":"2017-09-24T12:00:21","date_gmt":"2017-09-24T12:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=5838"},"modified":"2017-09-24T12:00:21","modified_gmt":"2017-09-24T12:00:21","slug":"various-political-parties-for-rationalization-of-polling-stations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/various-political-parties-for-rationalization-of-polling-stations\/","title":{"rendered":"VARIOUS POLITICAL PARTIES FOR RATIONALIZATION OF POLLING STATIONS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SDM HOLDS MEETING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE POLITICAL PARTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jalandhar<\/p>\n<p>In order to rationalize the polling stations in the district, the administration has sought the suggestions\/ objections from the various political parties within two days.Divulging the details in a meeting with the representatives of political parties here today at District Administrative Complex, the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Mr. Rajeev Verma said that the<br \/>\nElection Commission of India has directed the adminsitartion to allot regular number to the auxiliary polling stations and bifurcate the polling station with more than 1200 votes in rural areas and with more than 1400 votes in urban areas into two parts. He said that the Commission has therefore directed that all the polling stations with electors beyond the said limit would be invariably rationalized\/ modified as a pre-revision activity. So the SDM asked the political parties to submit their suggestions at the earliest.<\/p>\n<p>The SDM said that the political parties must submit their suggestions in writing with the office of Deputy Commissioner or the concerned Election Registration Officer. He also asked the political parties to appoint their booth level agents and submit their list to the administration.
