{"id":58516,"date":"2019-04-05T10:50:28","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T10:50:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=58516"},"modified":"2019-04-05T10:50:29","modified_gmt":"2019-04-05T10:50:29","slug":"china-deploys-new-missile-destroyer-frigate-in-its-anti-piracy-fleet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/china-deploys-new-missile-destroyer-frigate-in-its-anti-piracy-fleet\/","title":{"rendered":"China deploys new missile destroyer, frigate in its anti-piracy fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>China has deployed its latest guided missile destroyer and frigate in the fleet of naval ships participating in anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden and Somalian coast in the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China\u2019s 32nd convoy fleet to the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters set sail from a military port in Zhoushan, east China\u2019s Zhejiang Province on Thursday, the People\u2019s Liberation Army Navy official announced.The naval fleet includes the guided missile destroyer Xi\u2019an, the missile frigate Anyang and the Gaoyanghu, a comprehensive supply ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the first time Xi\u2019an and Anyang are participating in an escort mission, it said.One of the country\u2019s new generation of self-developed Type-052C guided missile destroyers, Xi\u2019an, which entered into service in February 2015, possesses over-the-horizon strike capability at sea, the report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyang, a domestically developed frigate, entered into service in April 2018 and is capable of attacking surface ships and submarines alone or in conjunction with other naval forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China, which is ramping up its naval and air power by reducing the size of army to expand its global influence, is actively taking part in the anti-piracy operations in the Somali coast where it had also built its first overseas logistics base in Djibouti.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China has deployed its latest guided missile destroyer and frigate in the fleet of naval ships participating in anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden and Somalian coast in the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.
