{"id":58683,"date":"2019-04-09T09:16:24","date_gmt":"2019-04-09T09:16:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=58683"},"modified":"2019-04-09T09:16:25","modified_gmt":"2019-04-09T09:16:25","slug":"mars-meteorite-provides-evidence-of-life-on-red-planet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/mars-meteorite-provides-evidence-of-life-on-red-planet\/","title":{"rendered":"Mars meteorite provides evidence of life on Red Planet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Scientists  have discovered evidence of different forms of bacteria embedded within  a Martian meteorite, suggesting that life may have once existed on the  Red Planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Named ALH-77005, the Martian meteorite was found in \nthe Allan Hills on Antarctica during the mission of the Japanese \nNational Institute of Polar Research between 1977 and 1978. Scientists \nfrom the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Research Centre for Astronomy and\n Earth Sciences discovered embedded organic material in the meteorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They\n were able to determine the presence of organic matter in mineralised \nform such as different forms of bacteria within the meteorite. &#8220;Our work\n is important to a broad audience because it integrates planetary, \nearth, biological, chemical, and environmental sciences and will be of \ninterest to many researchers in those fields,&#8221; said Ildiko Gyollai from \nHAS Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The \nresearch will also be of interest to planetologists, experts of \nmeteorite and astrobiology as well as researchers of the origin of life,\n and to the general public since it offers an example of a novel aspect \nof microbial mediation in stone meteorites,&#8221; said Gyollai, lead author \nof the study pubished in the journal Open Astronomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The research\n could change the examination of meteorites in the future.
