Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday felicitated Punjabis across the globe on the sacred occasion of the 320th Sajna Divas of the ‘Khalsa Panth’ and ‘Baisakhi’, which symbolizes the spirit of Punjab, Punjabi & Punjabiat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a message on the eve of this \nBaisakhi, Captain Amarinder Singh reminded the people of the \ncenturies-old rich and glorious cultural heritage of Punjab, and \nexhorted them to uphold those traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He recalled that on \nthis auspicious day in 1699, Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, the Tenth Guru of\n the Sikhs, created the \u2018Order of Khalsa\u2019 at the holy city of Sri \nAnandpur Sahib by baptizing \u2018Panj Pyaras (beloved ones) belonging to \ndifferent castes. The establishment of the Khalsa Panthmarked the \ncreation of an egalitarian society, while preaching the wisdom of love \nand compassion for mankind, along with universal brotherhood and \ncommunal harmony, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
