In\n July 2018, the actor was diagnosed with cancer and she underwent the \ntreatment in New York. She returned to the city in December. Sonali said\n though the disease is scary, early diagnosis can make the treatment \nless painful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Early detection is most important. Right now the \ndisease is less scary the treatment is actually more frightening and \npainful. If it were detected early, the cost of treatment would have \nbeen less. It would also have been a lesser painful treatment,” Sonali \nsaid on Saturday at the fifth International Conference “CAHOCON 2019”, \norganised by Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisation . The \n44-year-old actor posted her diagnosis she got to know that some of her \nfamily members had cancer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I wish I knew about it. I wouldn’t \nhave thought this would happen to me. I felt if this was so prevalent \nwhy did I not know about it,” she said .Sonali recalled a lot of people \nwere shocked with her cancer diagnosis.”Lot of people said how could I \nget it as my lifestyle was so healthy.
