AAP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday said his party is still ready to form an alliance with the Congress in Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh but it would not agree for a tie-up just in the National Capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the priority of the Aam Aadmi Party is \nto stop the Narendra Modi-Amit Shah duo which, he said, is proving to \nbecome very \u201cdangerous\u201d for the country.\u201cWe wanted to form a united \nopposition against the BJP and were ready to ignore our differences \nbecause right now the priority is to stop the dangerous Modi-Shah duo,\u201d \nhe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn last one week, meetings were held between the AAP \nand the Congress and we proposed alliance on 33 seats in Delhi, Goa, \nChandigarh, Haryana and Punjab seats, out of them 23 seats is with the \nNDA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said a tie-up between the two parties could have caused a\n \u201cdamage\u201d to the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on the 23 \nseats.\u201cBut the Congress purposely wasted time to take a decision on \nalliance and now it says it can tie up with the AAP only in Delhi. \nForming an alliance in Delhi alone would not solve the problem,\u201d he \nsaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe still saying that an alliance can be formed in Haryana,\n Delhi and Chandigarh. If they are ready, then we are ready, too, but \nalliance cannot be done alone in Delhi,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \nuncertainty over alliance between the AAP and the Congress has been \ncontinuing for weeks now. The talks between the two sides derailed after\n they failed to reach an agreement over seat-sharing in Delhi and \nHaryana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Congress\u2019 in-charge for Delhi P C Chacko on Friday said \nCongress will go alone in Delhi since the AAP has taken an \u201cimpractical \nstand\u201d.He, however said, \u201cWe are still ready if the AAP is willing to \nhave an alliance in Delhi alone. We want to fight the BJP together.\u201d \nSingh said the AAP was eager for an alliance with the Congress in \nHaryana, so that the BJP could be defeated in all the 10 seats.\u201cThat\u2019s \nwhy we were prepared to give Congress three seats in Delhi. But they \nrefused an alliance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
