{"id":59243,"date":"2019-04-16T11:40:10","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T11:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=59243"},"modified":"2019-04-16T11:40:11","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T11:40:11","slug":"i-t-dept-conducts-raids-at-dozen-locations-in-karnataka","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/i-t-dept-conducts-raids-at-dozen-locations-in-karnataka\/","title":{"rendered":"I-T dept conducts raids at dozen locations in Karnataka"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The  Income-Tax Department on Tuesday said it is conducting searches at about  a dozen premises in Karnataka on charges of tax evasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \nraids are being conducted in state capital Bangalore, Hassan and Mandya \nand the department said the action is aimed against tax evaders and \nblack money generators.<br>Official sources, however, indicated that \nlinks of these persons with respect to ongoing polls will also be a part\n of the investigative operation.&#8221;The searches are based on credible \nintelligence that certain businessmen have earned income not disclosed \nto tax and are in possession of undisclosed assets. Taxpayers covered in\n the search operations are engaged in the business of real estate, \nquarrying and stone crushing, executing government contracts, operating \npetrol bunks, saw mill and managing cooperative banks,&#8221; the department \nsaid in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are sectors, it added, which are \n&#8220;prone&#8221; to generation of black money.
