“Andhadhun” star Ayushmann Khurrana is happy with the film’s over Rs 200 crore haul at the box office in China and the actor says the feat will always remain a “memorable” moment for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Directed by Sriram Raghavan,\n the thriller drama features Ayushmann, Tabu and Radhika Apte. The film,\n which released in China under the title “Piano Player”, breached the Rs\n 200 crore mark within 13 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“As an artiste it’s always \nextremely satisfying to see a film not only receiving appreciation from \naudiences but also delivering big at the box office. I’m thrilled with \nthe fabulous response that ‘Andhadhun’ has received first in India and \nnow in China,” the actor said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ayushmann said the \nfilm’s achievement has reinstated his faith in the fact that “universal \nstories will always have a bigger reach”. “It’s absolutely incredible to\n see the run that Andhadhun is having in China and having a 200 crore \nfeat in the country will always be memorable for me personally,” he \nsaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Sriram Raghavan has given the world a thriller that is \nkeeping everyone on the edge of their seats and language is not being a \nbarrier. Thus, ‘Andhadhun’ has passed the true test for cinema given its\n universal appeal,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the makers, it is the \nfifth highest grossing Indian film in China after “Dangal”, “Secret \nSuperstar”, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, and “Hindi Medium”. “We had no idea \nthat our little ‘experimental film’ would travel so much. Experimental \ndoesn’t mean no fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The film, I learn, is screening in both \nsubtitled and dubbed versions in different screens. My whole team is \nsuper thrilled,” Raghavan said.
