State Vigilance Bureau today nabbed an Assistant Excise & Taxation Commissioner (AETC) sales tax (G.S.T) mobile wing\u00a0 Harmeet Singh posted at Hoshiarpur and Chartered Accountant (CA) Raman Sondhi red handed\u00a0 for accepting bribe of Rs. 2,00,000\/-.Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said the duo AETC and CA were nabbed red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.2,00,000 from complainant Tara Singh of village Talwandi Salan, Hoshiarpur district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \ncomplainant has approached the VB and said that he is the owner of a \nmarriage palace and the above said AETC has been threatening and \ndemanding bribe of Rs. 7,00,000\/- from him to settle his pending GST \nreturns pertaining to last 11 months. He further informed that he had \nalready paid Rs. 3,00,000 to him as a first installment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After \nverifying his information, the Vigilance team laid a trap and the \naccused AETC and CA were arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of \nRs. 2,00,000\/- of second installment from the complainant in the \npresence of two official witnesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
