Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, general secretary and spokesman of Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) sharply criticized Jagmeet Singh Brar for his joining SAD in Muktsar today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJagmeet Singh Brar has taken a very \nunfortunate and desperate decision to join SAD on Friday because SAD has\n allegedly been behind the sacrilege issues, Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura \nfiring incidents where the two peaceful protesters were killed by police\n during the SAD-BJP alliance government. Now if Jagmeet Singh Brar has \nchosen to join SAD it is very shocking and unfortunate. It is self \ndestructive step taken by Jagmeet,\u201d said Peer Mohammad, taking a dig at \nBrar in press statement released from party head office in Chandigarh on\n Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two time MP, and permanent invitee of Congress Working \nCommittee who was expelled by the Congress party in 2016 for his anti \nparty activities has today joined SAD in Muktsar in the presence of \nparty president Sukhbir Singh Badal and former chief minister Prakash \nSingh Badal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cJagmeet Singh Brar has been a very good politician \nand he has been raising the issues related to Punjab in parliament \nduring nineties as an MP. He had also successfully contested against \nSukhbir Singh Badal and had been a strong critic of SAD in past, but now\n we fail to understand what good thing attracted Brar to join SAD when \nthe party is desperately looking forwards to win any election to save \nits face after its sharp decline after last assembly elections,\u201d Peer \nMohammad said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHis joining SAD would certainly dent his public \nimage of an honest and upright politician. Now it seems Jagmeet Singh \nBrar is also an opportunist as he had earlier joined Trinamool Congress \nled by Mamta Banerjee and was appointed Punjab chief of the party. But \njoining SAD against which he had been speaking for decades is beyond our\n understanding. He seems to have compromised his image only to remain in\n politics now,\u201d Peer Mohammad alleged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt was the SAD-BJP \ngovernment in Punjab which looted the state by the sand,liquor, drug, \ncable and transport mafia during the last decade. It failed to solve the\n sacrilege and firing incidents in Behbal kalan during its rule. I do \nnot understand how Jagmeet Singh Brar would adjust in such party which \nis only a puppet at the hands of Badals,\u201d peer Mohammad alleged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
