Pakistan Cricket Board on Friday rejected a suggestion from national team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed to have players\u2019 families travelling with them during the World Cup in England. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYes there was a suggestion \nfrom the captain and players that they should be allowed to have their \nwives and children with them in England during the World Cup but the \nboard has not allowed this,\u201d an official source in the board said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe\n World Cup and our tour of England is a long one. I believe that even \ncricketing wise it helps a player relax if his family is with him,\u201d the \nPakistan skipper said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen a player returns to his room after a\n day\u2019s tensions and pressure it helps to have your family. A player \nwants to relax and unwind after a hard day. In Pakistan, we can go out \nwith our friends and relatives to relax but we can\u2019t get that atmosphere\n abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said instead permission had been granted to the \nplayers that their wives and children could be with them during the ODI \nseries against England but they would have to leave before the World \nCup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The source said the board wanted the players to be totally \nfocussed on cricket during the World Cup.\u201cThis decision has been taken \nby the team management,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
