A remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee\u2019s cult classic Chupke Chupke is reportedly set to star Rajkummar Rao in the role originally played by Dharmendra. The original film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Asrani, Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bachchan and Om Prakash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Mumbai Mirror \nreport quoted a source as saying, \u201cChupke Chupke is an iconic film and a\n favourite of many, including Rajkummar. He loved the idea of a remake \nand has agreed to come on board. It will have Raj in the dual avatars. \nThe script is still being finalised, while the director and the rest of \nthe cast are yet to be locked but the team is really excited about this \none,\u201d informs a source close to the development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
T Series\u2019 \nBhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan of Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame have \ncollaborated for the remake, the tabloid further reported. The original \nfilm told the story of Professor Parimal, who wants to fool his wife\u2019s \nbrother-in-law because she is too impressed with him and claims he knows\n everything. Parimal wants to break the aura around the brother-in-law \nand prove that even he can be fooled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is not the first time \nreports of a Chupke Chupke remake have surfaced – in 2013, filmmaker \nUmesh Shukla reportedly planned to remake the film and had even roped in\n Paresh Rawal for Om Prakash\u2019s role.
