India today shared with China all evidences of terrorist activities of Jaish-e-Mohammad and its leader Masood Azhar. \u201cIt is now for the 1267 Sanctions Committee and other authorised bodies of the UN to take a decision on the listing of Masood Azhar,\u201d said the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson shortly after Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale met two principal officials from the Chinese Foreign Ministry in Beijing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIndia\n will continue to pursue all available avenues to ensure that terrorist \nleaders who are involved in heinous attacks on our citizens are brought \nto justice,\u201d he added.The rendering of the meeting by the Chinese \nForeign Office indicated that issues related to Azhar might not be close\n to resolution. \u201cThe shared interests between our two countries far \noutweigh the differences,\u201d said the Chinese Foreign Office spokesperson \nwhen asked whether the two sides discussed Azhar\u2019s listing and India\u2019s \nboycott of the Second Belt and Road Summit to be held in Beijing later \nthis week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, China also suggested that it was prepared to \nhold more talks on both the issues. \u201cWe hope the two sides can \nstrengthen coordination and communication and keep the positive momentum\n of the sound development of bilateral relations. China stands ready to \nwork with India to this end,\u201d he observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Foreign \nSecretary\u2019s meetings at the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry have been \nbilled as part of regular Sino-Indian diplomatic consultations. But they\n come ahead of a deadline served on Beijing by the US and two other \ncountries for relaxing its technical hold on naming of Pulwama blast \naccused Masood Azhar.
