Asking people to exercise their right to vote in the general elections, actor Saif Ali Khan on Tuesday said every leader must be aware of the country\u2019s \u201cpower of unity\u201d. Every vote counts, Khan said at a panel discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNot voting shouldn\u2019t be an option. You can really \naffect change. I think one of the things that any government or any \nleader should fear and be really aware of is the power of unity in this \ncountry. We get together, have this union and decide and discuss to \nvote, suddenly we will become important to these guys and they\u2019ll fear \nyou. So use that and look after your country,\u201d the 48-year-old said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\n Sacred Games star said voting in the country is a \u201cunifying\u201d process. \n\u201cVoting is the most important thing you can do in a country. I think \nyoung people notoriously do not vote. That\u2019s the reason we are here \ntoday… to speak about the importance of that vote,\u201d he added at a \ndiscussion on Benetton India\u2019s campaign #UnitedByVote along with Bhumi \nPednekar and Siddhant Chaturvedi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In election season, he said, it\n is important to do a fair amount of reading and research before voting.\n \u201cEven political parties have realised they need to put out their \nmanifestos.
