Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who closely follows the work of southern filmmakers, has met Kabali and Kaala fame director Pa Ranjith and has expressed interest to collaborate with him on a project. Kashyap and Ranjith met in Mumbai earlier this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Ranjith\u2019s publicist, \nKashyap has shown keen interest to work with Ranjith, after being \nimpressed with his work in Kaala and Pariyerum Perumal, which was \nbankrolled by the Tamil filmmaker\u2019s Neelam Productions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apparently,\n Kashyap liked the way Ranjith handled politics in Kaala and the Dalit \ncommunity in critically-acclaimed Pariyerum Perumal. Ranjith wrote on \ntwitter: \u201cDear Anurag Kashyap. I have been a big fan of your films. \nHappy to have spent the evening with you. I\u2019m glad you liked Kaala. \nThanks for the conversation and great food.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In reply, Kashyap \ntweeted that he was late to watch superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kaala. \nHe went on to say that now he wants to watch all films of Ranjith. \nRanjith is currently gearing up to commence work on his next directorial\n venture. He\u2019s all set to direct a biopic on Birsa Munda, the infamous \nIndian tribal freedom fighter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this month, Ranjith \nannounced his third production venture. The film will feature \nKalaiarasan and Arvind Akash.
