Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the growing unemployment, Congress president Rahul Gandhi today promised if his party was voted to power, it would create 22 lakh government jobs within a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing a rally in Samastipur, Gandhi said: \u201cWe will fill all 22 lakh posts lying vacant in government departments. Besides, youth would also be given opportunities in 10 lakh panchayats.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Congress president slammed PM Modi for not speaking about promises of jobs, deposit of money in the poor\u2019s accounts but only talking about surgical strike. \u201cModi ji knows if he speaks on his promises of jobs, money deposits in the poor\u2019s account or farmers\u2019 welfare, he would be beaten up. So he only talks about the surgical strike,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gandhi also promised a \u2018farmers\u2019 budget\u2019 which would be announced before the national budget. \u201cIn farmers\u2019 budget, welfare schemes, setting of food processing units, loan waiver, etc., would be included, while it would be announced before the national budget,\u201d said Gandhi, urging people to vote for the mahagathbandhan\u2019s nominee Ashok Kumar against the NDA\u2019s nominee and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan\u2019s brother Ramchandra Paswan in Samastipur, a reserved Lok Sabha constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
