Warner and \nSteve Smith were handed 12-month bans by Cricket Australia for their \nrole in ball-tampering in South Africa last year, a punishment which \nboth the player have already served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Post the ban, Warner was in \nimperious form in the ongoing IPL and signed off his season with 692 \nruns, the highest so far in the tournament, before heading home for \nWorld Cup preparations.\u201cIt\u2019s obviously great to get out there and do \nyour job properly. We\u2019ve got a great deck to bat on. The groundstaff \nhave worked tirelessly to prepare good wickets and then it\u2019s about going\n back to basics and backing your instincts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think it just goes\n back to being still as a batsman. I get the tendency to moving around a\n bit if there have been a few dots. But I have worked hard over the last\n few months. The gameplan is to back yourself, just back your natural \ngame.\u201d Warner predicted high scores in the upcoming ODI World Cup in \nEngland, starting May 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
