A BJP member has filed a defamation complaint against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for tweeting “objectionable comments” against his party men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complaint was filed before Additional Chief \nMetropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal, who has listed the matter for \nhearing on May 16.Rajesh Kumar, who claimed to be convenor of the legal \ncell of the BJP Purvanchal Morcha in Delhi, told the court that he was \nshocked to see a tweet by Kejriwal saying derogatory things about the \nBJP members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The accused has dented the reputation of the \ncomplainant in particular and his party,” Kumar said in his complaint. \nAccording to Kumar, he came across the tweet on September 30, 2018 and \nwanted to lodge a complaint immediately, but thought people would not \ntake it seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, during Hanuman Jayanti celebrations \nin his society in April, a woman on realising that he was a BJP leader \ntaunted him citing the tweet.There were several such incidents when the \ncomplainant had to face embarrassment due to the “utterly irresponsible \nand defamatory tweet by Kejriwal, who holds such a high position,” Kumar\n said in his plea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The tweet has not only defamed me but crores \nof other BJP members and the accused cannot be permitted to go \nscotfree,” the complainant said.\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
