Cristiano Ronaldo scored late as Juventus dented Torino\u2019s chances of qualifying for the Champions League with a 1-1 draw in Serie A on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Torino\n looked set to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Superga air \ndisaster by beating Juventus following Sasa Lukic\u2019s first-half goal, but\n Ronaldo leveled six minutes from time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The derby was moved ahead\n a day to avoid clashing with the anniversary of the 1949 plane crash in\n which 31 people died, including the \u201cGrande Torino\u201d team that had won \nfive straight league titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe \u2018Grande Torino\u2019 side \nrepresented the history of football,\u201d Juventus coach Massimiliano \nAllegri said. \u201cTomorrow we have to commemorate this tragedy, which will \nalways remain in everyone\u2019s memory and heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Torino remained \nsixth, two points below fourth-place Atalanta for the final Champions \nLeague berth, ahead of the rest of the weekend\u2019s games. Juventus has \nalready won its eighth consecutive league title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe draw burns.\n We were thinking of victory,\u201d Torino coach Walter Mazzarri said. \u201cTwo \nor three times we could have scored the second goal and maybe brought \nthe win home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
