{"id":60799,"date":"2019-05-07T11:47:59","date_gmt":"2019-05-07T11:47:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=60799"},"modified":"2019-05-07T11:48:00","modified_gmt":"2019-05-07T11:48:00","slug":"tiger-woods-receives-presidential-medal-of-freedom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/tiger-woods-receives-presidential-medal-of-freedom\/","title":{"rendered":"Tiger Woods receives Presidential Medal of Freedom"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>US President  Donald Trump conferred the Presidential Medal of Freedom on ace golfer  Tiger Woods in a ceremony in the Rose Garden of the White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Your\n spectacular achievements on the golf course, your triumph over physical\n adversity and your relentless will to win, win, win these qualities \nembody the American spirit,&#8221; Trump said on Monday evening as he bestowed\n the nation&#8217;s highest civilian honour on Woods, 43.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \ndistinction comes after Woods won his fifth Masters Tournament, marking a\n return to form after 10 years marred by scandal, a succession of \ninjuries and addiction to pain-killers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump, himself a golf \nenthusiast, has long been friendly with Woods, who is designing a golf \ncourse for a club in Dubai that is managed by the Trump Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\n is a villa named for Woods at Trump&#8217;s golf club in Doral, Florida.&#8221;He&#8217;s\n also a great person.
