Congress leader Hardik Patel on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is staring at defeat in the Lok Sabha polls and claimed his party will get more seats than the BJP in Gujarat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also slammed Modi over his\n remarks against former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.\u201cAfter the five \nphases of Lok Sabha elections, the smile on Modi\u2019s face has worn out. \nThe BJP and Modi know they are staring at defeat,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cModi\n is still misleading the country,\u201d said the Patidar quota agitation \nleader from Gujarat while speaking to reporters here.\u201cI don\u2019t claim the \nCongress will sweep the Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat. But I am sure \nthe Congress will get one seat more than the BJP in Gujarat , said the \n25-year-old activist-turned-politician.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at an election \nrally at Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh last week, Modi had dubbed Rajiv \nGandhi as \u201ccorrupt number 1\u201d.\u201cThe prime minister used foul language \nagainst Rajivji who heralded communication revolution and strengthened \nthe country,\u201d Patel said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe prime minister is trying to show \nRajiv Gandhi in a poor light. In our society no one gives wrong \nstatement against a dead person,\u201d he said.\u201cI am saddened by these \nstatements against Rajivji,\u201d the Congress leader said.Patel claimed \nCongress president Rahul Gandhi would be the next prime minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
