In Birmingham, May said \u201cwe can be immensely proud to be home  to one of the biggest celebrations outside of India\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo one \nwho has heard the accounts of what happened that day can fail to be \ndeeply moved. No one can truly imagine what the visitors to those \ngardens went through that day one hundred years ago\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was&nbsp; as\n the former Prime Minister H.H. Asquith described it at the time \u2018one of\n the worst outrages in the whole of our history\u2019. Jallianwala Bagh is a \nshameful scar on British Indian history.
