Former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar Monday appeared before the ED in connection with an alleged bank loan fraud and money laundering case registered against her. Kochhar arrived before the Enforcement Directorate\u2019s office here in Khan Market shortly before her scheduled appearance time of 11 am, official sources said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sources said \nKochhar isrequired to assist the investigating officer of the case in \ntaking the probe forward and her statement will be recorded under the \nPrevention of Money Laundering Act .The searches were conducted at the \npremises of Chanda Kochhar, her family and Venugopal Dhoot of Videocon \nGroup in Mumbai and Aurangabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her husband Deepak Kochhar has \nalso been summoned in the same case even as her brother-in-law Rajiv \nKochhar has been grilled by the ED few days back here. They have been \nquestioned in the past too at the agency\u2019sofficein Mumbai after the \ncentral agency conducted raids in this case on March 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ED \nhas registered a criminal case under the PMLA early this year against \nChanda Kochhar, Deepak Kochhar, Dhoot and others to probe alleged \nirregularities and corrupt practices in sanctioning of Rs 1,875-crore \nloans bythe Bankto the corporate group.\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
