{"id":61312,"date":"2019-05-15T11:18:04","date_gmt":"2019-05-15T11:18:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=61312"},"modified":"2019-05-15T11:18:05","modified_gmt":"2019-05-15T11:18:05","slug":"74-arrested-in-connection-with-attacks-on-muslim-properties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/74-arrested-in-connection-with-attacks-on-muslim-properties\/","title":{"rendered":"74 arrested in connection with attacks on Muslim properties"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sri  Lankan police has arrested 74 people in connection with attacks on  Muslim homes and shops on Monday as situation in affected areas is  returning to normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police spokesperson Ruwan Gunasekara said \nthat investigations are continuing to arrest persons who express hate \nspeech on social media to disrupt national unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He mentioned \nthat if mobs continue to engage in communal violence, the tri forces and\n police will use force to stop them.Overnight curfew imposed countrywide\n has been lifted from Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prime Minister Ranil \nWickremesinghe said a group of people are trying to disrupt the Vesak \nfestival and no room should be allowed to fulfill their intention. He \nvisited an affected area yesterday where mobs have attacked mosques and \nMuslim homes. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wickremsinghe said Easter services were disrupted\n by the terrorist activities and they cannot allow the saboteurs to \ndisrupt the Vesak festival as well.
