He was convicted and \njailed in 2016 for inviting support for the Islamic State group but was \nreleased in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jameel was one of the nine bombers who carried \nout a series of blasts targeting three churches and three hotels in \nColombo in which nearly 360 people were killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jameel\u2019s target \non April 21 Easter bombings was the Taj Samudra hotel of Tata Group\u2019s \nhospitality arm, Indian Hotels Company Ltd .
