{"id":63880,"date":"2019-06-17T11:33:33","date_gmt":"2019-06-17T11:33:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=63880"},"modified":"2019-06-17T11:33:34","modified_gmt":"2019-06-17T11:33:34","slug":"bihar-child-death-toll-93-vardhan-meets-kin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/bihar-child-death-toll-93-vardhan-meets-kin\/","title":{"rendered":"Bihar child death toll 93, Vardhan meets kin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday visited the families of the children suffering from suspected acute encephalitis syndrome even as the death toll rose to 93 in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vardhan, his deputy Ashwini Kumar Choubey and Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey visited the SKMCH.  \u201cI assure the people of the area, especially the affected families, that the government will extend all possible help to the state government,\u201d the Union health minister told reporters here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a release issued by the district administration on Sunday evening, 93 children have died so far at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital and the Kejriwal hospital in Muzaffarpur. Out of these, 76 children have died at SKMCH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>State government officials, however, maintained that majority of the victims had died due to hypoglycemia, a condition caused by very low level of blood sugar and electrolyte imbalance.
