{"id":64360,"date":"2019-06-23T09:27:33","date_gmt":"2019-06-23T09:27:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=64360"},"modified":"2019-06-23T09:27:37","modified_gmt":"2019-06-23T09:27:37","slug":"india-asks-pak-to-comply-with-fatf-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/india-asks-pak-to-comply-with-fatf-report\/","title":{"rendered":"India asks Pak to comply with FATF report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>India has said it expected Pakistan to take all required steps to implement a global action plan against terrorist financing and money laundering in which it has been found deficient for yet another time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India believes the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan is sustained by under-the-radar funds and has been playing an active role in getting the global Financial Action Task Force to issue strictures for its shortcomings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>India also asked Pakistan to take \u201ccredible, verifiable, irreversible and sustainable measures\u201d to address global concerns related to terrorism and terrorist financing emanating from the territory under its control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The FATF has asked 11 countries, including Pakistan, to improve compliance with global norms for transmitting money. Only two countries, North Korea and Iran, rank higher in the order of notoriety.Pakistan has been bracketed with nearly a dozen countries, but FATF\u2019s observations about it are the most strident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February, the FATF had merely \u201curged\u201d Pakistan to \u201cswiftly complete\u201d its action plan. This time, it \u201cstrongly urged\u201d Pakistan to \u201cswiftly complete\u201d its action plan before the next plenary in October.
