{"id":65872,"date":"2019-07-13T11:07:41","date_gmt":"2019-07-13T11:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=65872"},"modified":"2019-07-13T11:07:42","modified_gmt":"2019-07-13T11:07:42","slug":"supreme-courts-takes-note-of-alarming-rise-in-child-rape-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/supreme-courts-takes-note-of-alarming-rise-in-child-rape-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Courts takes note of \u2018alarming rise\u2019 in child rape cases"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Supreme Court has taken note of the alarming rise in the number of rape incidents against children and said it will pass directions to ensure a concerted and clear national response against such acts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bench, headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, said it has decided to take suo motu cognisance of various reports of newspapers and portals on rising incidents of child rape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bench appointed senior advocate V Giri as amicus curiae and asked him to assist it in framing guidelines on the kind of directions that can be issued to states on infrastructure and video-recording of the proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It made clear that no third party except Giri and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta would be allowed to intervene in the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bench directed the apex court registry to register the case as a writ petition titled as &#8220;In-re Alarming Rise in The Number of Reported Child Rape Incidents&#8221; and posted it on Monday for issuance of directions.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Court has taken note of the alarming rise in the number of rape incidents against children and said it will pass directions to ensure a concerted and clear national response against such acts.
