The Advisory Committee provides a forum to Union Territories without legislatures for interaction between the Central Government and the elected representatives of the Union Territories on major issues of policy concerning the Territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kainth said, \u201cChandigarh has, as per the Population Census 2011 data 19.1% of SC population out of the total population and hence it requires a reasonable number of representatives of the community to be a part of the Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hon\u2019ble Minister reassured us that this matter will be discussed with the Governor and proper remedial measures shall be taken to resolve the grievances of the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kainth also suggested that, \u201cThe committee should keep maintain special consideration over the issues affecting the development of the Scheduled Castes community in the UT and should discuss those issue mandatorily in the meetings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also told that the NSCA will try to meet the Administrator of the UT, Shri V.P.
