Punjab News 24 : Department of Housing & Urban Development, Government of Punjab has decided to extend its first ever e-auction by one week. The auction had begun on 21-9-2017 and was scheduled to conclude today i.e. 4-10-2017. The decision has been taken on the recommendations\u00a0 received from various development authorities in the state working under the department. Requests for more time have been received from bidders scattered over Punjab and neighbouring states. These bidders have pleaded that since it was first time, they have been unable to use the e-bidding portal. The department is of the view that the extension would give a fair chance to the prospective bidders and will add to the transparency. The bidders were also constrained due to the considerable number of holidays fallen in between the 2 week e-auction period.<\/p>\n
The e-auction is now schedule to conclude on 11-10-2017 at 3.00 PM. It offers various types of residential, commercial and institutional properties. Total value of property offered for auction is Rs. 500 crores approx. These properties are located at Mohali, Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Amritsar, Batala & Gurdaspur. Sites offered include 3 school sites, 2 group housing sites, 1 hotel site and 1 multiuse site apart from booths, SCOs and residential plots across the state. All properties offered for auction are located in developed areas and possession would be offered within 90 days of the auction. Response to the auction till date has been encouraging as 105 bidders and 97 bids have already been registered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
