{"id":68360,"date":"2019-08-17T11:59:48","date_gmt":"2019-08-17T11:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=68360"},"modified":"2019-08-17T11:59:49","modified_gmt":"2019-08-17T11:59:49","slug":"justin-trudeau-pressured-ex-minister-to-go-easy-on-graft-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/justin-trudeau-pressured-ex-minister-to-go-easy-on-graft-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Justin Trudeau pressured ex-minister to go easy on graft case"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With his re-election bid just over two months away, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been jolted by a scathing report that said he had violated a conflict of interest law by exerting political pressure on a former attorney general to go easy on a multinational engineering firm that was being investigated for bribery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trudeau assumed responsibility for what had happened but disagreed with the conclusion of the country\u2019s ethic commissioner on the case involving SNC-Lavalin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company is under investigation for allegedly bribing Libyan officials for contracts.
