Channi holds review meeting with University Vice Chancellors for 5th State Level Job Fairs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\n Technical Education Department is all set to introduce Bio-Metric \nattendance for students this year. The Technical Education Minister Mr. \nCharnajit Singh Channi while presiding over a review meeting of the \nTechnical Education Department directed all officials and Principals to \nmake all necessary arrangements for Bio-Metric attendance of officials \nin all Government Polytechnic Colleges. It is important to mention here \nthat the department has successfully implemented Bio-Metric attendance \nfor the staff of all the technical education institutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \nTechnical Education Minister also shared an important information that \nthe tendering process for installing CCTV Cameras in all Government \nPolytechnic Colleges & ITIs has been completed and these would be \ninstalled in all institutes before year end. He said that all exams of \nthe coming semester would be held under the surveillance of CCTV \nCameras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier the Minister held meeting with the Vice \nChancellors of the universities of the state and reviewed the \narrangements for the 5th Mega Job Fairs which would be organised from \n9th to 30th September, 2019. The Minister also divulged that more than 2\n lakh jobs would be offered during these Mega Job Fairs under \u2018Ghar Ghar\n Rozgar\u2019 scheme which is the flagship initiative of the Punjab \nGovernment. These Job fairs would be held at 75 venues across the state \nand Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh would hand over job letters \nto the selected Youth at Ropar on October 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is noteworthy \nthat the Department of Employment Generation has identified over 2 lakh \njob openings, which would be uploaded soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister further \nsaid that the State Government aims to provide quality technical \neducation to the youth in order to make them skilled as per \ninternational standards. This would make them capable enough to get jobs\n easily anywhere around the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, Mr. Charanjit Singh \nChanni held separate review meetings with Vice Chancellors of \nUniversities, Principals of Polytechnic and Engineering colleges and \nPrincipals of ITIs regarding Mega  Job Fairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Principal \nSecretary Technical Education, Mr. Anurag Verma and Mr. Rahul Tewari, \nSecretary Employment Generation said that the Technical Education & \nEmployment Generation Department are  working in tendum to make Mega Job\n Fairs a big Success. They also asked the government & private \ninstitutes to motivate and guide the Youth to register for the Mega Job \nfairs. They also informed that all the institutes are being assigned \nduties for the Job Fairs. They also said that unemployed youth can log \non to on the department\u2019s official website www.pbemployment.gov.in for \nfurther details and application process.
