{"id":6991,"date":"2017-10-07T12:23:55","date_gmt":"2017-10-07T12:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/punjabnews24.com\/?p=6991"},"modified":"2017-10-07T12:23:55","modified_gmt":"2017-10-07T12:23:55","slug":"pm-modi-says-changes-have-made-gst-even-simpler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/pm-modi-says-changes-have-made-gst-even-simpler\/","title":{"rendered":"PM Modi says changes have made GST \u2018even simpler\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi<br \/>\nPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday night said the GST has become \u201ceven simpler\u201d after GST Council\u2019s recommendations and that it is in line with the government\u2019s constant endeavour to safeguard citizens\u2019 interests and ensure India\u2019s economy grows.<\/p>\n<p>He congratulated Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and his team for engaging with various stakeholders for \u201cextensive feedback which led to today\u2019s recommendations\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Modi\u2019s comments in a series of tweets came after the GST Council made sweeping changes to GST to give relief to small and medium businesses on filing and payment of taxes, eased rules for exporters and cut tax rates on more than two dozen items.<\/p>\n<p>The changes were made three months after rollout of the new indirect tax regime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood and Simple Tax (GST) becomes even simpler.
