The complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the accused police official was demanding Rs 50,000 for not registering theft case against him and the deal was struck at Rs. 30,000. He further informed that complainant had already paid Rs. 5,000 as a first installment to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After verifying his information, the Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused constable was arrested on the spot taking bribe of Rs. 10,000 as second installment from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses.
