Dilbag Singh, Director General Police J&K, on Sunday visited Poonch district to review the prevailing security situation with senior Army & police officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said Pakistan army was desperately trying to push trained militants amid heavy mortar shelling. \u201cUnder the cover of ceasefire violations, the Pakistan army has been pushing trained militants .Our anti-infiltration grid on the borders is very strong and have foiled many such attempts and have killed several militants\u201d said the DGP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He admitted 200-300 militants are operating in Kashmir valley and at many places newly infiltrated militants were also spotted. Search operations in such areas have been launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the past three consecutive days, the Pakistan army has been violating truce agreement at various locations in Rajouri and Poonch districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Army has been giving befitting reply to indiscriminate and unprovoked heavy mortar shelling and firing by Pakistan army at various locations. Sources said Pakistan army had suffered loss to its forward infrastructure in retaliation.On October 4, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Commander , Northern Command along with Lt Gen Paramjit Singh Sangha, White Knight Corps Commander had visited forward areas in Rajouri district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both senior commanders had reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness of the troops. On the contrary, Pakistan has been blaming the Army for ceasefire violations and to express its resentment.
