{"id":73149,"date":"2019-10-25T11:23:38","date_gmt":"2019-10-25T11:23:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/?p=73149"},"modified":"2019-10-25T11:23:39","modified_gmt":"2019-10-25T11:23:39","slug":"supreme-courts-allows-centres-plea-to-recover-adjusted-gross-revenue-from-telcos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blastingskyhawk.com\/english\/supreme-courts-allows-centres-plea-to-recover-adjusted-gross-revenue-from-telcos\/","title":{"rendered":"Supreme Courts allows Centre\u2019s plea to recover adjusted gross revenue from telcos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Supreme Court on Thursday allowed the Centre\u2019s plea to recover adjusted gross revenue of about Rs 92,000 crore from telecom service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A three-judge bench, headed by Justice Arun Mishra, upheld the definition of the adjusted gross revenue formulated by the Department of Telecom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have held that the definition of AGR will prevail,\u201d the bench, also comprising Justices Vineet Saran and S Ravindra Bhat, said. \u201cWe have allowed the appeal of the Department of Telecom and dismissed that of licensees,\u201d the top court said while reading the operative portion of the judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The apex court said it had rejected all other submissions of the telecom companies.
