He said all documents related to the renouncement of citizenship have been handed over to the Elections Commission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, SLPP MP Namal Rajapaksa published the Loss of Certificate document confirming that Gotabaya Rajapaksa is not a US citizen anymore. Rajapaksa held a dual US citizenship but claimed to have renounced it early this year for contesting the Presidential polls. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fresh controversy erupted after his name was not included in the latest US list of persons who renounced their citizenship.
