Indian Women’s Association in Nepal has donated two electric vehicles to Pashupati Area Development Trust .President of the Association, Namrita Puri handed over vehicles to Dr. Pradip Dhakal, Member-Secretary of PADT in Kathmandu today. Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri was also present on the occasion. Mrs. Namrta Puri said these eco-friendly vehicles will be very helpful for the pilgrims visiting holy Pashupati temple especially for elderly and differently abled people, women and children. Member Secretary of PADT Dr. Pradeep Dhakal expressed gratitude towards IWA for its noble initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The vehicles will also create employment opportunity for women. Handing over of e-vehicles will be another milestone in strengthening age old cultural and religious ties between India and Nepal and bringing people of the two countries closer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indian Women\u2019s Association is an organization of Indian Women under the patronage of Embassy of India with the aim to provide friendly meeting ground for Indian Women resident in Nepal. It provides a forum for interaction with Nepali women and works to promote goodwill and friendship between the Indian and Nepali community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
IWA organizes philanthropic activities to benefit women and children in Nepal.
